Suresh Raina Announced Retirement From International Cricket

Within less than an hour of MS Dhoni announced his retirement, senior Indian cricketer Suresh Raina also announced his retirement.

Raina also took to social media to announce his retirement like Dhoni. Both will play the IPL tournament and both are playing for the same franchise that is Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

M.S. Dhoni Unforgettable Records in International Cricket

M.S. Dhoni is the only Captain to win all the 3 ICC trophies: He claimed all the 3 ICC trophies in his stint which no other captain has been able to do in the history of cricket: T20 World Cup in 2007, ODI World Cup in 2011 and Champions Trophy in 2013.

M.S. Dhoni is the only player to lead a team in 6 WT20s: The 2007 World T20 held at South Africa was the first tournament MS Dhoni captained and he emerged successful too. Though he couldn’t repeat the feat again, he remained the captain for India in next 5 WT20 editions.

M.S. Dhoni is not just a player but he is an institution in himself. His cool mind, his reading of the game, his crucial decision, his calmness under pressure, his grooming to youngsters, his presence in the ground, his tournament wins, his trophy, his helicopter shots, his running between the wickets, his chasing the total and having one of the best averages and there are so many more things that will change it forever after his retirement.

Today an era ends. There are very few players like Dhoni came to Indian Cricket and they change the game entirely.

Dhoni is a great asset to the team and after his retirement, there is a big impact on the national team as the team is trying to groom the youngsters like Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson and they also need time to learn all the things behind the wicket as well as on the pitch.

The gap left after Dhoni retirement is impossible to fill. Yes, I know there are some young bunch of talented wicket-keeper we have but a legend like Dhoni cannot be replaced.
